1st : The best entry in each category will receive a Digital Photo viewer, which can display slide show of photographs directly from memory card or USB. 

2nd : Runner up entries in each category will receive a one year gift subscription of National Geographic Magazine.

All contestants, whose photographs gets selected for the editor’s pick category will receive a beautiful coffee table book containing all winning and editor’s pick photographs

SELECTION OF WINNERS

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

The selection of winners is primary based on voting. Selected photographs will be put for voting from 1st of September to 1st of October 2012. The final winner will be selected by the judges based on votes and  investigation. 

• Email your photographs to photocontest2012@theindia.info together with your Name and Contact details.
• Your contact details and name must be embedded / water-marked on the photographs. 
• An individual is allowed to post only up to two entries for each of the two contests. The width of the photographs must not be more than 2500 Pixels and file size should not exceed 2MB. ( Your photograph must be at-least 1500 pixels at the wider side )
  

If your photograph gets selected for publication, we will inform you and request for your approval for publication in the booklet.

"THE INDIA INFO PHOTO CONTEST 2012" is open till August 31st, 2012 00:00 AM IST.

On a weekly basis, beginning from June 23rd, judges will post the best of the incoming entries in the Editor's’ Picks portion of our web site. Finalists will be announced by October 10th , 2012.

1. All photographs must be shot in India.
2. This competition is open only to Individuals
3. Only JPG files will be accepted, Minor tonal adjustments are allowed.
4. You must own all legal rights to use the photograph
5. Prizes will be shipped only inside India.
6. Judges decision will be final.
